Edge Theatre Ensemble presented Bertolt Brecht's "Mother Courage and her
using a modern translation by award-winning playwright David Hare,
at the Youngstown Cultural Arts Center in West Seattle

Considered by many to be one of the greatest dramatic creations of the modern
stage, "Mother Courage and Her Children" is Bertolt Brecht's most passionate
and profound statement against war. The epic drama follows Mother Courage
as she attempts to achieve her
goals of making a profit and keeping her
children alive through the blood and destruction of the Thirty Years War.

Presenting Seattle actress Betty Campbell in the title role and featuring new
music by Andy Clawson performed live, the Ensemble br
ought to life what
Lillian Hellman called one of the truly "great plays of our time."
